Hello Kitty Travel Playset Purse Vintage 1988 Miniature Bedroom Set

This rare vintage Hello Kitty playset by Sanrio was made in 1988 and features a plastic purse that opens up to reveal a miniature Hello Kitty bedroom complete with a doll and furniture.

The purse is hot pink and has a sticker on the front that says "Hello Kitty" and "A present from Papa." It shows Hello Kitty holding a small bunny. The purse has a kisslock closure at the top.

Inside the box is a scene that looks like a house with a window on the back. There are two yellow brick pieces that can attach to the sides to hold the back upright for play. There's a cardboard insert that shows a rug, rocking chair, plant, books, and other features in the room.

The miniature Hello Kitty doll wears a yellow shirt and pink overalls with a white "K" on the front. The furniture pieces are pink and include a bed, vanity, rotary phone, and corner table.

The playset comes with its original box. The box has been opened, but makes a good way to store the playset when not in use. All of the pieces fit inside the purse, but since the window on the back of the purse has open shapes cut out, it's possible for little pieces to fall out the back.

The front of the box has the Sanrio logo and is dated 1988. The back of the purse is marked "TOHO, Made in Japan."

The playset is in good condition and is a rare find for your collection.
