Baby Strawberry Shortcake Friends

Some of Strawberry Shortcake's friends appeared in the toy line as baby characters. The baby friends include Apple Dumplin, Apricot, Baby-Needs-a-Name, Butter Cookie, Cherry Cuddler, and Lem & Ada.

In the First Issue line of Strawberry Shortcake dolls, all of the dolls had flat hands. Later versions had curved hands that could hold accessories. However, all of the baby characters always had flat hands regardless of when they were released.

All of the baby characters appeared in the regular doll line and in the Strawberryland Miniatures line except Baby-Needs-a-Name, who was only released as a Baby Blow Kiss doll. Some of the baby characters also appeared in the Party Pleaser and Deluxe Strawberryland Miniatures line.

The baby characters measured 3 5/8 inches (9.2 cm) compared to the taller 5 1/2 inch (14 cm) dolls. In the Berry Wear doll clothes line, some of the outfits were labeled "Li'l Berry Wear" with smaller sizes to fit the baby dolls.
