Berry Grown Up Purse
The Strawberry Shortcake Berry Grown Up Purse set was made by Kenner Preschool and was released in 1984. The playset was designed for children ages 2-5 and had lots of fun grown-up pieces.
The playset included a pink purse with strawberry-print fabric and a red plastic handle, car keys, pretend lipstick, a compact, a strawberry-scented perfume bottle, and a comb. All of the items could be stored inside the purse.
Many of the pieces had moving parts for realistic play. The plastic lipstick moved up and down, the compact opened and had a mirror sticker inside, and the lid could be removed from the perfume bottle. Squeezing the red circle on the front of the perfume bottle would release a whiff of its lovely strawberry scent.
