Baby Needs-A-Name Blow Kiss Strawberry Shortcake Doll

This vintage Strawberry Shortcake doll is Baby Needs-A-Name, she's one of the baby friends of Strawberry Shortcake. Her character was only ever produced as a Baby Blow Kiss Doll. 

Baby Needs-A-Name has blue eyes, blonde hair, and a sweet baby face with full lips and an open mouth. When you squeeze her tummy, she blows you a kiss. Her kisses were originally scented, but she seems to have lost her scent over the years. 

She comes with her complete outfit, which includes a pink romper with a white berry on the front, pink booties, a pink hat with a white bow, and an identification bracelet that says "Baby Needs-A-Name." Her outfit is clean and crisp.

Baby Needs-A-Name is in beautiful display condition, but due to the age of this doll she does have some flaws upon close inspection. 

The elastic on her hat, booties, and on the sleeves and shorts of her romper has disintegrated and is no longer stretchy. The plastic on her arms and legs has developed some light bumps, as shown in the 6th photo, and has a powdery feel. The plastic on her face does not seem to be affected.

Finally, the glue holding her hair plugs in place has disintegrated over time and her hair is thinning. It will slide right out if brushed or handled, so she's best just left on display with her hat in place. This could also be fixed by rerooting her hair.

The tag on her side reads "Kenner, American Greetings Corp. 1984." Because she was produced towards the end of the Strawberry Shortcake line, she is one of the more rare and collectible Baby Blow Kiss dolls.
