Sanrio Petite Plie Jewelry Box Case with Pink Ballet Slippers

This vintage Petite Plie jewelry box by Sanrio is a pink plastic cabinet with two clear doors on the front and lots of room for storage inside. One the front of each door is the Petit Plie motif, a set of dark pink ballet slippers outlined in gold. There are also pink and purple flowers on the doors and gold dots in a scalloped pattern around the edges.

When both doors are closed, the jewelry box can be fastened shut with a small padlock to keep all of your treasures safe inside. The original padlock is missing, but a small diary padlock will fit.

The top drawer inside the cabinet has a plastic rack to hold post earrings. The rack has a crack in one corner, but is still attached to the drawer. A second taller rack used to be mounted behind it, but the plastic clips that hold it in place have broken off and it's no longer attached to the drawer. That piece is included in case you want to glue it in permanently. 

There are three more drawers below. One of the small drawers at the top is missing. This drawer is the same size as the one that holds the earring racks, but it won't fit in the lower slot with the earring rack in place. If you don't plan to use the earring rack, you may be able to unsnap it and move the top drawer to the second slot. This would allow taller items to be store in the top and the missing drawer won't be visible. We haven't tried removing that earring rack since the clips are still intact and could break in the process.

In the photo showing a side view of the cabinet, there are two lines across the top of the cabinet. These look like cracks, but it's just the light reflecting off the shiny plastic. The cabinet is not cracked and is in good vintage condition.

The jewelry box is dated "'88, '94 Sanrio" on the front and the back has the Sanrio logo.
