Herself the Elf Christmas Card - Sisters Are Like Snowflakes
American Greetings
This rare oversized vintage Christmas card features Herself the Elf and her friends Willow Song, Meadow Morn, Woodpink and Snowdrop flying on snowflakes. The front of the card is blue and says "SISTERS are like snowflakes - no two are alike!" in metallic gold writing. The card is unused, but does not come with an envelope.
The card unfolds and has four different panels, each showing Herself the Elf and her friends.
The greeting inside says:
"Some sisters like sewing
And some like to paint...
Some go for the sweet look,
Some use no restraint...
Some like to go sledding
And some prefer skates,
Some spend half their leisure
Getting ready for dates...
But one's really special,
And she's loved a lot, too -
Sure hope you guessed, Sister,
That's she's wonderful you!
Merry Christmas with Love"
The back is dated MCMLXXXV, which is Roman numerals for the year 1985.
The fold between the front of the card and the first panel has some of the blue worn off because the image is printed just slightly past the fold. The last panel has a small piece of the surface paper missing near the upper right corner, as shown in the last photo. The card is otherwise in good condition.
This card is a rare piece of ephemera for your Herself the Elf collection.
